DEJA VU AT THE OSCARS

I wanted to share with you two stars' outfits from the 2012 Oscars which made me think "Where did I see that before?"

First is Rooney Mara who wore Givenchy Couture Spring 2009 to the Oscars. It is very similar to the dress she wore to the London premiere of her Girl with the Dragon Tattoo film. Dress she wore to the premiere was also Givenchy, from Fall 2011.

Second Up is young Emma Stone. I am delighted to see her choose Giambatista Valli. In my previous post titled '' Hot Couture Dresses for Oscars'' Click here I chose this exact dress as a favourite for the red carpet. Well done me! However she wore the dress without large bling on her neck or in her hair that I almost didn't recognise it. Still managed to look good though.
The dress ended up reminding me (and most others) of the Balenciaga dress Nicole Kidman wore to the Oscars a while back.

Aferin Bana! Yine tutturdum ama elbiseyi okadar sıradan taşımış ki neredeyse ben bile anımsayamadım. Giambatista Valli Couture 2012 koleksiyonundan bu elbiseyi Louis Vuitton takı ve el çantası ile birleştirmiş. Yinede şık olmuş.

Bu arada Nicole Kidman'ın 2007/79. Oscar Töreninde giydiği Balenciaga elbiseyi anımsattı.

One of my favourite colours is all over the catwalk for Ready To Wear Spring 2012 . Lots of designers had multiple number of pieces in their collections. So when celebrities are quick to adapt to this trend, it is sure to be a hit. Since it is my favourite colour I could not help but give you lots of pictures.

En sevdiğim renk olan Turkuaz Hazır Giyim de Bahar 2012 podyumlarında boy gösterdi. Bir çok modacı kolleksiyonunda birden fazla parçada kullandığı bu rengi ünlülerin üstünde pek yakın bir tarih de görünce bu bahar Turkuaz patlaması olacağından eminim. Favori rengim olduğundan sizlere bir çok görsel sunmak istedim.

The Gucci Scarf With Fox Fur Trim

I'm not a fan of real fur so I don't condone celebs wearing fur. It annoys me but as long as fashion houses use it, inevitably someone will wear it.

Moving on, Jessica Lopez was recently pictured with a new Gucci Fur shawl. I could'nt resist and do a WWB post when a Turkish society/business woman, Demet Sabanci Cetindogan, wore the same shawl.  I'm giving my vote to J-Lo as I think  even with such a casual/sporty look she manages to look glamorous.

I have to add, that  Turkish "celebs" and the famous do love to be seen wearing same clothes and accessories as the Hollywood Celebs.

Ünlülerin kürk giymesi (aslında kimsenin giymesi) hiç hoşuma gitmiyor. Malesef moda evleri üretimde kullandığı sürece birileri mutlaka giyecektir.

Konumuza gelelim. Geçenlerde Jennifer Lopez Gucci şalı ile görünülenmiş. Aynı zamanda bizim sosyeteden Demet Sabancı Çetindoğan da aynı şalı kullanınca bende kim daha iyi giymiş kıyaslamasını yapmadan duramadım.

Oyum Jennifer Lopeze. Bu kadar spor bir kıyafetle bile şık görünmesini beceren nadir isimlerden.

Şalın İngilterede satış fiyatı 440 Sterlin ama Yukarıda belirttiğim fiyatlar tahmin. Türkiyedeki satış fiyatını merak ediyorum.

Emma Stone has worn one of the dresses I had chosen as a hot candidate for the Oscars!

In my previous enrty  Click Here I wrote about Hot Couture Dresses for the Red Carpet. I'm glad that at least one two of these dresses were worn by a celebrity. Well isn't that a success for a new blog entrant.

En azından bir İki tanesini ünlü üstünde görmüş oldum. Blog yazmaya yeni başlayan birisi için başarılı değilmi?

I liked this dress so much but Katy Perry matching her hair colour with her dress  is a no-no.

Katy Perry üstünde bu elbiseyi beğendim fakat saçlarını kıyafetine uydurmasıda bence çok saçma.

TREND ALERT ! RECYCLE YOUR OUTFIT

So times are hard and we are all feeling the pinch of the economic crisis globally. Some of us feel it more some feel it less.

I would not have expected celebrities to do so too. It's okay to recycle clothes. I always do.

The recycling  I'm referring to isn't about everyday outfits but about events and certainly red carpet events.

Pleaaaasee it is not like celebs can't afford a new dress. They are practically bombarded with soo many freebies to wear to a red carpet event. So when I see celebrity, regardless of whether they are A-list or Z-list, I am very surprised. Immediately I think "Why?" If you're gonna walk the red carpet then show it some respect and wear something different. Otherwise the glamour of a Red Carpet event diminishes. In my opinion anyway. Tell me what you think?

Moving on to pictures. There are so many offnders. The list goes on forever. I'm only showing a few.

Yeni bir moda akımı başlamış duydunuz mu? Eskileri tekrar giymek. Ne var bunda nesi yeni derseniz, hepimizin düzenli olarak yaptığı birşey. Beni gıcık eden konu,  modacıların kırmızı halıda giydirmek için yarıştığı ünlüler, sanki başka kıyafetleri yada paraları yokmuş gibi daha önceden giydiği elbiseyi birdaha giymeleri. Kırmızı halının özel olma nedeni çok ama eğer ünlüler özen göstermezse o zaman hiç bir anlamı kalmıyor ve büyü bozuluyor.

Evet suçlulara bir göz atalım.

HOT! COUTURE DRESSES FOR OSCARS

Paris fashion week is over. I'm sorry for not being able to cover the event from my blog. I had a very serious health scare with a family member. Thankfully all is well.

Paris Moda haftası sona erdi. Sizlerden fazla görsel sunamadığım için özür dilerim. Ailemle ilgi bir sağlık sorunu yaşadık ama şimdi her şey yolunda.

What I would like to look at is some gorgeous frocks from the catwalks which could make it to the red carpet for the 2012 Oscars.

Sizlere podyumlardan beğendiğim ve  yaklaşan 2012 Oscar töreninde   kırmızı halıda görmeyi umduğum elbiseleri paylaşmak istedim.

First two dresses are  from Giambattista Valli. A palette of warm pink.

İlk elbiseler sıcak pembeler ve Giambattista Valli'den.

Second  dresses are from Elie Saab. Colours are bang on trend with spring pastels. We will see more of pretty pastels this spring and summer. I can't help but mention Arizona Muse looking fab in mint green more like blue.

İkinci seçenek Elie Saab'ın moda olan pastel tonlarındaki harikaları. Bu arada model Arizona Muse nane yeşili aslında daha çok mavi,ile harika.

Christian Dior is my third choice. Nipped in waists and voluminous ballroom skirts are very 1950's. This year we shall see similar looks from 1920's and 1950's.

My fourth choice is from Atelier Versace. These dresses are very elegant in their detail. They remind me of something Nicole Kidman might wear.

And my Final choice is from Stephanie Roland. Two different yet elegant and striking dresses. I would love to see Tilda Swinton in the second dress with the red flower.

Son olarak Stephanie Roland elbiselerinden iki favorim var. Farklı ve dikkat çekiciler. Özellikle çiçek baskılı olanını oyuncu Tilda Swinton üzerinde görmeyi isterdim.

We shall just wait and see if any of these dresses or similar ones from the same collection make it to the red carpet on Sunday 26th February.
I'm sure that dresses from the featured designers will definately be showcased.
